Simon & Schuster, LLC

Located at the corporate headquarters of the renowned publishing company, Simon & Schuster, LLC, the project entailed improvements to existing office spaces across numerous floors.  The project comprised approximately 200,000 s.f. at 1230 Avenue of the Americas.  New suspended ceiling systems and LED energy efficient light fixtures were installed throughout all offices and corridors.  Illumnated ceiling systems and window units were upgraded within conference rooms.  Existing specialty items such as crown moldings and ceiling mounted acoustical control materials were also upgraded.  Restrooms were renovated to receive new plumbing fixtures and modifications were made to comply with all accessibility codes.

During construction, Bonsignore Architects P.C. evaluated progress and quality of work and determined whether the work was proceeding in accordance with the design intent.  The construction was performed in multiple phases, encompassing two floors per phase.  Shop drawings were reviewed in order to coordinate the trades relative to custom ceiling systems, acoustical systems, and project-specific fixtures and accessories.
