BONSIGNORE ARCHITECTS

Sterling National Bank

Wanting to establish a greater presence in Long Island, Sterling National Bank secured office space in Melville, New York. Bonsignore Architects, P.C. was retained to assist in the planning of approximately 7,500 s.f. of office space. The program was based upon accommodating several people from Sterling National Bank’s Commercial Business Banking and Mortgage Group.

Offices, located along the perimeter, had glass partitions and doors along the interior to allow diffused natural light to travel into the open office area in which the cubicle workstation clusters, including hoteling stations, were located.    Ancillary spaces such as a pantry, equipment rooms and storage room were located closer to the core elements of the building to maximize an unobstructed open interior area. The reception desk was designed to contain a cash recycler and functioned as a teller counter as well as reception.

As construction commenced, Bonsignore Architects, P.C. was responsible for forwarding instructions to the contractors, consultants and vendors as well as managing the project to assure conformance to the construction documents and specifications.
